A dark aura is surrounding CycleMotor’s HQ. After the annoying and unsuccessful Volta ao Porto the team's management is not satisfied.
“One of our big goals this season was this tour, it was extremely important for us to do well, and obviously we didn’t.” said the team manager.
One of the main points in discussion after the end of Volta is the increasingly importance of TT stage on the tours, this was felt on the last Germany Tour won by Lonergan and now at Volta ao Porto with Celso Leitão taking the GC and YC home.
“We love tours and we don’t give up at the first sign of trouble, if we need a TT to do well in tours we will get a TT’er. I present to you the young and promising Portuguese TT’er Aquilino Mourão as part of our team.” announced the team spokeperson.
With this signing the team management is obviously already looking at Cymru Taith, but the team after the disappointing performance at Volta is in a difficult situation to be able to sign up for the next Div2 tour.
“That’s right we’re on a difficult spot right now, but that’s how I like it. The harder the better, just like the climbs.” said Élvio Aguiar, the team captain.
